Breastfeeding Verses Gardasil

Last night my husband and I were sitting in bed together watching TV, and the HPV “Gardasil” vaccine commercial popped up, with beautiful, healthy young women chanting “I want to be one less…” One less girl to get cervical cancer they mean. It would have been moving if it had been believable to us. As it was, all we could do was shake our heads and say “disgusting”. (more…)

Enriched Formula Study Flawed

The folks at Popular Science sure know how to write an inflammatory headline. I just about blew a fuse when I read:

New Study Rocks the Breastfeeding Boat: Scientists discover that babies fed with enriched formula developed higher IQs than their breastmilk-fed peers

Fortunately for breastfeeding mothers and their babies, that headline isn’t true. (more…)
