The proportion of mothers in Japan who breastfeed exclusively has been low since the 1970s. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between the time of first breastfeed after birth and the proportion of mothers fully breastfeeding up to four months postpartum. (more…)

Infant Formula Problems

There are so many problems with formula as opposed to breast milk it is hard to know where to start. In this post I’ll set out three serious problems for you to consider. That doesn’t mean there aren’t more than three, or that these three reasons are the most compelling. It’s just a start to help you understand why many people feel that formula should only be a last resort food for parents to feed infants who cannot breastfeed for medical reasons. (more…)
