Breastfeeding - Oversupply Syndrome

The following video is of an interview I conducted with Caroline van Veldhuizen, IBCLC, regarding her research and experience with breastfeeding oversupply syndrome. I myself have suffered from an overabundant milk supply, manifesting symptoms like leaky nipples, engorgement, and mastitis, so this interview was very helpful for me to fully understand the problem and how to manage it.

Mrs. van Veldhuizen had her paper on oversupply syndrome published late last year in the International Breastfeeding Journal (IBJ). You can read an abstract of her paper, which I recently posted, or you can read her entire paper on the IBJ website. While you can learn a lot by just reading her paper, I believe that you will find the following 30 minute interview with Mrs. van Veldhuizen extremely valuable.

Please understand that English is not Mrs. van Veldhuizen’s native language. She is Dutch, and she speaks with an accent. For your benefit, I made the interview into a video with captioning, so you can better understand her and learn about this important topic.
