Study: Breastfeeding expands lung function

Apparently, not only does breastfeeding reduce the risk of asthma, it also increases lung capacity. Somehow this news is not very surpising to me. Perhaps that is because I have personally seen how much effort breastfeeding takes for a young baby.

Whether they breastfeed or not, some babies and toddlers seem to be easily afflicted with cavities. Unfortunately for nursing moms, some dentists claim that breastfeeding, especially at night, contributes to cavities in infants and toddlers. Neonatal Jaundice is a common condition that more than half of all newborns get. Within the first week or 2 of life you might notice that your baby’s skin looks yellowish, and the whites of their little eyes look slightly yellowish, too. Breastfeeding Verses Gardasil
Last night my husband and I were sitting in bed together watching TV, and the HPV “Gardasil” vaccine commercial popped up, with beautiful, healthy young women chanting “I want to be one less…” One less girl to get cervical cancer they mean. It would have been moving if it had been believable to us. As it was, all we could do was shake our heads and say “disgusting”. More on Breastfeeding Verses Gardasil
