The Breastfeeding Mother’s Guide to Making More Milk
Based on the reviews, this looks like a great book for moms and moms to be who are concerned about the possibility of having a low milk supply, and may also be a good read for any mom who just wants to understand why their breasts work the way they do. It’s also highly recommended for lactation consultants, to help them better help moms struggling to make enough milk.
It’s over 260 pages long, with 16 chapers, and has a nice little preview on Amazon to give you a feel for what you will learn in the book. Presently, it has thirteen reviews from readers, and all of the reviews give the book a 5 out of 5 star rating.
I may just have to add this book to my collection. Even though I’ve never had a supply problem, most women have their share of self doubt about the sufficiency of their supply at some point in the nursing relationship, myself included. This book may have some helpful information that I have not yet learned about, and I just love to read about and understand more about how my body works.

UNICEF Video Encourages Women to Breastfeed
This UNICEF promotional video was created a couple of years ago to encourage women to breastfeed within one hour after giving birth. According to the video, “this keeps the baby healthy and strong and strengthens the bond between mother and child.” I had not seen this video until recently and thought I would post it to have here on the web site with the other breastfeeding videos. Breastfeeding Using EFT
Breastfeeding can be a wonderful, easy time for some mothers, with Baby latching on right away and nursing like a champ, with no problems from the start. But more often, learning to breastfeed can be full of emotional frustrations, challenges and stress. So how can you overcome the emotional obstacles, the challenges, and beat the stress? Your baby is counting on you to succeed at breastfeeding. That’s where Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) comes in.

Ezzo’s Dangerous Breastfeeding Schedules
As with everything in life, there’s a way to breastfeed that is safe and effective, and a way to do it that is dangerous. What makes the Ezzo “Babywise” breastfeeding schedule potentially dangerous is that while it seems to work for some babies, for others it could possibly cause serious harm, in the form of dehydration and weight loss. Milk Sharing VS Milk Banks
Many mothers find that they have a freezer full of breast milk after a year or two of breastfeeding and pumping. Most of the time, it just doesn’t feel right to waste all that precious, life giving food, even if there’s too much to give it all to the baby. So what can be done? More on Milk Sharing VS Milk Banks

Breastfeeding – Oversupply Syndrome
The following video is of an interview I conducted with Caroline van Veldhuizen, IBCLC, regarding her research and experience with breastfeeding oversupply syndrome. I myself have suffered from an overabundant milk supply, manifesting symptoms like leaky nipples, engorgement, and mastitis, so this interview was very helpful for me to fully understand the problem and how to manage it.
